Kundapur, Nov 29: International powerlifter Satish Kharvi has filed a complaint with Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, alleging that Tahsildar Shobha Lakshmi is protecting Jayananda of Kasta village, who is allegedly enjoying government benefits by fraudulently obtaining a caste certificate.

In his complaint, Kharvi stated that he had lodged a complaint against Jayananda (RD 0038651212745) for obtaining a false caste certificate on September 15. He attached all relevant documents, seeking the cancellation of the said caste certificate. The respondent Tahsildar registered a case (ICR/CR/03/23-24), obtained necessary reports, and ordered the accused Jayananda to be questioned by the competent authority. During verification, it was discovered that Jayananda had provided a false name for his father, violating the law to obtain the caste certificate.

Kharvi alleges in the complaint that instead of canceling the fraudulently obtained caste certificate, Tahsildar Shobha Lakshmi ordered that Jayananda's certificate be kept valid until further orders and passed the responsibility to the 'competent authority.' Kharvi suspects that she may be violating procedures with the intention of personally helping the accused.

Satish Kharvi further claims that Jayananda presented a tampered transfer certificate (TC) from Kharvikeri Primary School in Kundapur during the trial to validate his claim for the caste certificate. When the headmaster of the school checked the school enrollment registry, it was found that the TC had been tampered with in Jayananda's favor. The school headmaster clarified this with the tahsildar.

Kharvi has urged the minister to review the letter from the School Management Board, education officer, and all the documents he submitted, and deem Tahsildar Shobha Lakshmi unfit to continue as Tahsildar, dismissing her from the said post. He further emphasized that the case is completely illegal, and strict legal action should be taken against the tahsildar for issuing the caste certificate without obtaining the requisite documents.

Another Complaint Filed with Lokayukta Against Tahsildar Shobha Lakshmi, RI Raghavendra, VA Chandrashekhar Murthy

Simultaneously, another complaint has been filed with Lokayukta against Tahsildar Shobha Lakshmi for allegedly colluding with government property encroachers, along with Revenue Inspector Raghavendra and Village Accountant Chandrashekhar Murthy.

According to the complaint, Gulabi Shedthi and her husband Sridhara Shetty Madroli Manganasalu of Siddapur Gram Panchayat have received two notices about illegal building construction in survey no. 250/1. Despite the notices, they continue illegal construction in blatant violation. The complainants allege that Tahsildar Shobha Lakshmi, Revenue Inspector Raghavendra, and Village Accountant Chandrashekhar Murthy are colluding with the encroachers and misusing their authority.

The complaint calls for legal action against all officials involved and the immediate demolition of the illegal building.
