Mangaluru: Police arrest three drug peddlers, seize ganja, car worth over Rs 32 lac

Mangaluru, Feb 1: Konaje station police on definite information seized a car at Nethilapadav on January 31 and confiscated ganja worth Rs 27 lac that was being carried illegally in it.

The police arrested Aboobacker Siddik (35) and Hyder Ali (39) from Manjeshwar and Akhil M (25), from Kumble. The total worth of the items seized is Rs 32,07,000.

The operation was conducted in the leadership of Konaje station police inspector Prakash Devadiga by PSI Sharanappa Bhandary, staff Shailendra, Naveen, Vincent Rodrigues, Suresh, Barama Badigera, Hemanth, Purushotham, Devaraj, Shiva Kumar, Deepak, Sunita, Mohammed Ghouse and technical department’s Manoj.

Police commissioner Shashikumar, deputy police commissioner law and order, Anshu Kumar and deputy police commissioner crime and traffic, Dinesh had issued directions. Assistant police commissioner Dhanya Nayak had provided the guidance.
