Good news of celebrating the feast of Blessed Virgin in abroad

Good to note that the Montifest is celebrated by Konkani Mangalureans all over the world with great fervour. Only the Karnataka State Government seems to have caved in to the demand of Christians to make this a holiday in coastal districts of South Kanara and Udipi, where Christians are a small minority, as if it is a day of obligation like Sunday, Christmas and Good Friday. No other country with a large proportion of Catholics, or even their churches, recognizes the feast as deserving compulsory church attendance.
