This sentence in the report in itself speaks volumes- '' a national flag in one hand, constitution in the other, non-violence in the mind and Jana Gana Mana on the lips''. Let the congregation be peaceful in every respect and that will go a long way.

CAA is NOT an open invitation for citizenship to non-Muslims around the world as many opponents of CAA would like to put it as and say it's discriminatory.

CAA specifically applies only for persecuted minorities of 3 Islamic countries in the neighbourhood, (Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh) who have fled from those countries and are already in India as of 2014.

CAA was required because there was religion based discrimination in neighbouring countries.

CAA does NOT close Indian Citizenship to those who do not qualify to apply for citizenship under CAA. People of all religions / no religion can apply and may be granted citizenship under regular rules.

CAA is NOT for any of Indian Citizens to register in NRC. There is a procedure to give citizenship to refugees. Indian citizens of whatever religion including Non-Muslims CANNOT claim citizenship & register for NRC claiming to be a refugee as per CAA.

Nationwide NRC registration requirements have not been notified. When it is notified the requirements will be common for all citizens.

CAA addresses a particular humanitarian issue. It does not and should not be expected to set right all problems.
For info Indian Govt is in dialogue with SriLankan govt to facilitate the return of SriLankan Tamil refugees in India back to SriLanka.

They are already in the country for 5 years+, some for decade+

If they will not return to their country because of religious persecution, may be you can suggest what govt can do with these people? Let them starve to death?

this govt has not invited the refugees nor did majority get into country during tenure of the NDA government.

Where it has been implemented? Bill has been passed but it's very difficult to implement without people consent . Only BJP supporters accept this and portray this law will kick out illegal people out of india . We don't have problem with that but the problem is discrimination. Why only muslims will be kicked out without provinding valid documents why not illegal Hindus? Law should be equal to everyone and democracy should prevail.
