Mangaluru: Condemnable if police showed disrespect to Quran – J R Lobo

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, Sep 4: MLA J R Lobo condemned the incident where it is alleged that police showed disrespect to Quran and tore Madrasa books while conducting a search in a house in connection to the murder of RSS worker Sharath Madivala.

Addressing media persons on Monday, September 4, Lobo said, “If the allegations against the police are true, they are highly condemnable. Police should be careful while handling such cases. They should not hurt the sentiments of any religion. A detailed investigation should be conducted into this incident and truth should come out at the earliest. I will write to IGP Hemanth Nimbalkar to look into this issue.”

“Anyone at fault, be the police or the complainant, should be punished. We do not want tension in the society. We should respect every religion. The Congress party endorses such views of secularism,” he added.

Corporator Lancelot Pinto and other Congress leaders were present.

Few months back West Bengal went to flames because of similar incident. I appreciate Muslims of this region for showing utmost patience when religious feelings has been triggered.

Everyone loves his religion he has born. India is the nation we all proud of given right to practice religion by our constitution.

The law enforcement department of undivided Canara is in scrutiny for many years. It is openly acknowledged Sangh parivar leaders in the past expose by 'Cobra post' which is yet to be investigated.

As per my feeling no practice Muslim will disrespect his holy book as shared by the media. If law enforcement department has clips of raid then it is wise to share with the religious heads to defuse the tensions.

It is no doubt that law enforcement need major reforms. As far as Mangalore concerned it needs shuffle from top to bottom of all ranks. It needs to be represented by all religions equally for better transparency and law enforcement.

Mr.J R Loba as a representative of his constituency are genuine. It need to corrected before the hell of fire showers from the Almighty.

In Karnataka, everyone knows who plays politics. Lobo just told that whoever guilty will be punished may be it's police or the muslim family. You guys just support bike rally by useless goons. What you know about problems of the people here. For you it's just like a movie but here common man has to suffer. For loss of public property it's we who pay for it and not your masters the Bhandara Jumla Party.
