Dubai, Sep 3: KE Dubai hosted an engaging members’ event on Saturday, August 29, at TIME Oak Hotel & Suites, Tecom, Dubai, focused on helping entrepreneurs and business leaders better understand how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the way organisations operate and compete.
The event formed part of KE Dubai’s continuing effort to support entrepreneurs in adapting to technological change, strengthening their businesses, and preparing for the opportunities and challenges of an increasingly AI-driven economy.
The highlight of the evening was a practical and thought-provoking session led by Ryan D’Souza and Dr Shashi Punjabi, who explored the rapidly evolving landscape of digital transformation and the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence.

Ryan D’Souza
Ryan D’Souza is Senior Technical Lead at FutureOS, where he is involved in building AI and technology solutions for Expo City Dubai. With more than 20 years of experience spanning automotive technology, AI products and smart-city platforms, Ryan brings extensive hands-on experience in developing and implementing emerging technologies.
He is also the founder of ArtisanAI and AIJobsUAE, initiatives that reflect his continued engagement with the evolving AI ecosystem and its impact on businesses, professionals and the future of work.
Dr Shashi Punjabi
Dr Shashi Punjabi is the former head of Digital Transformation at IBM, where he led large-scale AI and automation initiatives across EMEA, including transformation programmes for Fortune 500 organisations.
Today, at Hareket MEA, he is advancing enterprise technologies including ChatGPT Enterprise, Zero Trust security and next-generation data ecosystems, bringing a strategic perspective on what organisations need — technologically, operationally and culturally — to successfully navigate the AI era.
The evening began with an introduction to KE Dubai’s mission and its continuing focus on entrepreneurship, learning, collaboration and community.
Shobha Mendonca, director – marketing & sponsorship, welcomed members and encouraged them to embrace curiosity, collaborate actively and draw on the wealth of experience within the KE Dubai community to support both personal and professional growth.
Desma Rovina D’Souza then delivered a message on behalf of Ivan Fernandes, chairman of KE Global, highlighting that AI is no longer a future possibility but a present-day business imperative relevant to organisations of every size.
The message encouraged entrepreneurs to ‘start small, start safely, and start now’ using AI to address real business challenges and progressively build more agile, productive and future-ready organisations.
The evening concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Santosh D’Souza, who expressed appreciation to the speakers, organisers, members and guests for their enthusiastic participation and contribution to the programme.
