Udupi: ABVP Protest Against NEET

Udupi, Nov 8: ABVP members staged a protest against the NEET (National Eligibility And Entrance Test-UG) in front of the Clock Tower at 10:30 am on Wednesday November 7.

Students have demanded to cancel the system of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2013), against the National Medical Entrance test which is replacing the state-level examinations.

They demanded justice and cancellation of NEET. In Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, it was appealed to the government to continue with the CET. 

"The NEET-13 test would be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) according to its syllabus for Class 12 while the state pre-university science students in the final year now, are being taught as per the state syllabus. It is a difficult task for a student", said Ramesh K ( state president, ABVP).

A memo of the same has been forwarded to the SP.

    Jobless and short sighted! Their State govt will not remain for long!! How many of these protesters going to write these exams!! This cup of tea is for Students with good academics.
