Abu Dhabi, Mar 20: Authorities in the UAE have arrested at least five individuals suspected of being part of a “terrorist network” linked to Hezbollah and Iran, according to state media reports on Friday.
The official Emirates News Agency (WAM), citing the country’s state security apparatus, said the network was allegedly involved in activities aimed at infiltrating the national economy and executing external schemes that could threaten the UAE’s financial stability.
Authorities stated that the group operated as part of a “pre-established strategic plan” coordinated with external entities linked to Hezbollah and Iran.

The report also released mug shots of five detained suspects, though further details about their identities and roles have not yet been disclosed.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the full scope of the network and any additional links.
