Doha, Nov 6: The Goan Welfare Association will be organizing the famous comedian, John D’Silva’s, new Konkani musical show 'Ranvotti' on November 16 at Al Ghazal Club Hall (QP) at 3:30 pm.
John D'Silva has been bestowed with the title “The Emperor of Konkani Stage” by Magazine, Hello Margao, Hello Panjim, for his immense contribution in the field of Tiatrs.
In a short span, he has achieved a landmark in the Tiatr field. John is the first Tiatrist to enter “Limca Book of Records” for acting, writing, directing and producing 25 Tiatrs having a double alphabet in their titles and thereby taking Tiatrs to the greater heights and popularising it throughout the world.
And for achieving this great feat, he was congratulated at the Goa Legislative Assembly. He is the first one to receive the first ‘Yuva Srujan Puraskar’ award from the Government of Goa for his immense contribution in the tiatr field.
Today, he is regarded as the top most comedians and one of the best writers of the konkani stage as his Tiatr are always written with thought provoking dialogues, powerful moral and messages.
John D’Silva is a household name in Goa and among tiatr lovers globally, as his mere presence on the Konkani stage sends peals of laughter among the audience.
In the month of July and September 2012 he travelled London, Paris and a few of the Gulf Countries, to perform in the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sammy Tavares’s Tiatr ‘Aplea Bhurgeam Sangatak’ and after returning back from the tour his new Konkani musical show “Ranvotti” has been released in Goa on October 26 and the same will be staged in Qatar on November 16.
The cast of the Konkani musical show includes Mita, Alice, Joe, Peter De Pedda, Socorro De St Cruz, Marcus Vaz, comedian Nato and comedian John D’Silva.
