Mangalore: Erya Award Conferred on Scholar Dr R Ganesh

Mangalore, Jan 3:
The Erya Award 2012 was presented to noted writer and scholar 'Shatavadhani' Dr R Ganesh at a programme held at the auditorium of Canara College here on Tuesday January 3.

R Ganesh was honoured with a shawl, fruits, a memento, and cash award of Rs 10,000.

Dr M Prabhakar Joshi in his felicitation address said that hard work and dedication had enabled Dr R Ganesh to achieve great heights.
 
Erya Lakshminaraya Alva delivered the introductory address. S S Kamath, the vice president of Canara High School Association presided.
 
Accepting the honour, R Ganesh said that one should enjoy one's work, only then can it become an easy job. Working without taking stress will bring success, he advised.
 
T Indira compered the programme. Rekhadevi delivered the vote of thanks. Organizer Dr G N Bhat, convener M Sudhir Pai Maroor and honorary secretary M Ranganath among others were present.
