Mangaluru: House executor made goat keeper, tortured in Kuwait; returning

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jul 6: A resident of Karkala, Jayesh who had been to Kuwait seeking employment is on his way back home due to some trouble. Jayesh has reportedly reached Mumbai and is on his way back home.

Jayesh had obtained a visa to visit Kuwait from Sachin of Sringeri for a house execution job in Kuwait. But, when he reached Kuwait, an Arab citizen hired Jayesh to rear goats, sheep and look after a farmhouse. He was made to work 12 to 14 hours a day. Jayesh was also not provided with food and refreshments on time and was being ill-treated and beaten up.

When Jayesh tried to contact Sachin regarding this he couldn't get a proper response. Jayesh sought the help of Roshan Kumar Poojary who in turn informed Manjeshwara Mohandas Kamath.

In the meantime, Jayesh escaped from the farmhouse and reached the Kuwait consulate office seeking help to return to India. Jayesh was able to leave Kuwait with the help of Mohandas Kamath and former vice-president of NRI Forum Aarati Krishna.

Too much! Many low grade labourers are facing such difficulties. He must have insisted on legal contract duly attested by Indian Embassy in Kuwait. The sponser should be a Bedoon who rare sheep and own farms. The temperature here now is above 50 degrees and in deserts unbearable !
