Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru, Jul 5: A road in the city, which was concretised, was dug open again a day after it was opened for vehicular movement.

The road between Padua to Sharbhat Katte was closed for the last four months due to concretisation. The closure of the road led to heavy traffic congestion at KPT. Public was eagerly waiting the Padua-Sharbhat Katte stretch to be opened at the earliest.

The road, which was concretised spending lacs of rupees, owas pened for vehicular movement on July 4. Shockingly, labourers hired by the city corporation started digging the newly constructed concrete road on July 5. Netizens have slammed the authorities seeing the new road being dug within 24 hours of its inauguration.

The pictures with various captions are going viral on the social media questioning about the mismanagement of road work.

No offence to anyone but in the time MCC built the pumpwell bridge Hyderabad completed its entire metro project and probably had a few years of movement as well.....its really sad how lazy and misplanned the activities of mcc are.... Mangalore is a beautiful place...if only it had a leader who was interested in its development over just hogging all the money they can lay their hands on

This is planning in the educated city, which still believes in age old techniques. You could have laid some pipes at specific distances to cater to such road diggings. Alas, common sense is not that common.

Kind request to the authority., we do not want any smart city... we are happy with our old Mangalore. Building Road, drainage Facility, footpath etc etc those are our basic things which authorities have to do from our Tax paid amount which you people are alreday collecting from years, not from smart city fund. Conclusion is: it's been 38 Years I have been staying in Mangalore., basic things still not improved... and it won't improve too. Kind request stop wasting our money.

MCC does it because no one questions them. All concerned are benefitted at the cost of tax payers’ money over and above 40%. We become over active only for changing names, beef, hijab and halal. Rest whatever happens nobody cares.
