I never met G. F. From my readings about his life and work, he was an extraordinary man: - great Indian, one who cared for fellow citizen and spent his life time working for the good of the society. May God bless him and his his life inspire others too! Perhaps, some one who knows him should Make literary critique of his memoirs which is I believe is on the way for publication. I would love to read it!

A bold and gutsy man. Giant Killer and the man behind the Konkan Railway Project. Padma Vibhushan Awardee. Done a lot to the Society. But ignored fully by not giving his name to any roads in Mangalore mainly in Bejai where he was born . We are very ungrateful to him . KUDOS to the author Rahul Ramagundam who has taken enormous pains to write the Autography of late George Fernandes.

A real man,.. He had the guts to call a spade a spade ..He did not even spare his own clergy and parish priests while being critical about their misdeeds. Hope every person can be as daring as him ..when it comes to exposing own communities short comings especially the priestly class.

In his early life he first observed discrimination among the clergy in the seminary. It is the clergy and the priestly class that inspired him to fight for equality between the haves and have nots.
