I am really surprised with these news about heavy rain. I was in Udupi for 2 weeks expecting to enjoy some good rain. But there was hardly any rain - remember we are in KARTHI month of Tulu calendar there hardly any water on field which normally must be flowing to the brim. When comparing to Rains of 1980s - it is like summer rain .

Khondyo, ? in the village the labourers wear on their head ? Then there is something which is woven out of Palm tree (Toltomad) leaves head to ankle leangth. specially used in rainy season not to be drenched. I have good experience of such stuffs at my cousin place in Mermajal. By the way Fula ! you have reminded me of my late wife. I used to call her Fula (Pauline/Polly))
