Kasargod, Jun 27: A person accused of killing his mother a few years back, hanged himself to death in Badiyadka.
The deceased is identified as Venkappa Nayak (42), a resident of Peradala Shantipalla in Badiyadka. It is suspected that Nayak ended his life two days ago.
A few years ago, he had reportedly poured kerosene on his mother Kamala and killed her. After serving a jail term, he was involved in a few cases of thefts.
Venkappa was reportedly involved in a petrol pump theft case and was under judicial custody for a few months. Police said Nayak was released from custody a month ago. He was living alone in a house, according to the Badiyadka police.
After conducting an inquest, the Badiyadka police shifted the mortal remains of Venkappa Nayak to Kasargod general hospital.
