New Delhi, June 21: Accusing the Narendra Modi regime of trying to suppress the Congress leaders by foisting false cases as part of its politics of vendetta, KPCC Chief D K Shivakumar has warned the ruling BJP that the party cannot be silenced by its fear tactics.

Addressing the media persons in Delhi on Tuesday, June 21 Shivakumar attacked the Modi regime of misusing Central investigative agencies to probe and browbeat Congress President Sonia Gandhi and former party Chief Rahul Gandhi and conducting raids at AICC office.

“Congress party headquarters is like a sacred temple for us. But the BJP regime is misusing the police to prevent our leaders from visiting the party office. We have come here to condemn the police highhandedness. In order to prevent us, they have clamped prohibitory orders under Section 144,’’ he said.

Shivakumar said, “Just as sun rises and sets, political situation changes. But the BJP seems to have forgotten this truth. We are undeterred and stand by our leaders. We want to express our solidarity and support our leaders.’’

The KPCC chief wanted to know the grave offences committed by Rahul Gandhi to be subjected to a 40-hour interrogation by the Enforcement Directorate. “This is a clear case of political vendetta. Our leaders are prepared to face everything. Sonia Gandhi has just been discharged from hospital and she has been asked to appear for interrogation on June 23. We cannot be silenced by this,” he declared.

Shivakumar pointed out that he has studied the details of the National Herald and Young India journals and wanted to know if there was misuse or misappropriation of even a single rupee. “Our leaders have held shares in the company publishing the journals by virtue of their positions in the party. Why only the Congress leaders must be singled out? Aren’t there any other cases of irregularities, he asked.

BJP wants somehow desperately try and fix congress leadership. The corruption accusations, like 2G, 3G, CWG, Coal Gate, all have died under the very watchful eyes of Modi led BJP Govt. The humongous amount that Cong blamed over 4lakh crore against all these scams, not a single rupee could be found. That clearly means the entire accusation was false and far from truth, pushed into the minds of people using media, for mean political gains. ED is going after Rahul Gandhi from past 5days itself shows, they have nothing concrete, they want to tell the BJP workers, they are doing something to fix congress. Thats it.
