Mangaluru: Customs officials seize foreign currency worth Rs 25.17 lac

Mangaluru, Mar 9: In two separate incidents, customs officials deployed at the airport here found foreign currency notes worth Rs 25.17 lac.

A passenger arriving here from Dubai by an Air India Express flight on Tuesday march 8, was found to be in possession of 90,000 UAE dirhams worth Rs 17,77,500.

In another case, US$ 10,000 worth Rs 7,40,500 was recovered from a passenger from Kerala.

In these cases, both the accused were taken into custody.
