Karnataka reports 46,426 fresh Covid cases, positivity rate jumps to 32.95 percent

Bengaluru, Jan 24: Karnataka on Monday, January 24 registered 46,426 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 3,62,487. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 21,569.

As many as 32 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Monday, the death toll in the state has risen to 38,614.

The state recorded 41,703 discharges from hospitals on Monday, taking the total discharges to 31,62,977.

So far, Karnataka has seen 35,64,108 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 32.95% while the case fatality rate for the day is 0.06 %.

As many as 9,35,84,585 people have received vaccination so far.

    Weekend curfew should be continued till mid of February..All gatherings should be banned till March...Also put more police in public places and public transport to monitor covid appropriate behavior......Also put 5 police in public place which has closed environment.....Also give booster dose to everyone...Police should put fine for people who violate covid norms...Hotel should be opened only for parcel till February 15......Because in dining, people have to remove mask to eat food.
