Mangaluru: Former MLA Ramanath Rai opposes Covid lockdowns, curfews

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru, Jan 11: "Weekend curfews and lockdowns are not the solutions to tackle the pandemic," former MLA Ramanath Rai said.

Addressing the media here on Tuesday January 11, Rai said, "Lockdowns and weekend curfews will affect the public. Public has already experienced the peak of the pandemic and lost jobs, businesses due to lockdowns earlier. The government should reconsider the decision of imposing weekend curfews and lockdowns in the interest of the public. Government should come out with alternatives to tackle the pandemic."

"During the third wave, Prime Minister Modi himself took part in several election rallies. Imposing lockdowns on the public during every wave will make their lives miserable. The Yakshagana artistes are in distress due to weekend curfews. Health minister Dr Sudhakar in a statement has said inexperience led to lockdown. We have witnessed many deaths during the lockdown and also demonetization. If the government has to impose lockdowns and weekend curfews, it should be able to provide to the citizens as well," added Rai.

Reacting to MP Nalin’s statement that Congress Paadayatra was a drama, Rai countered that BJP's rally against Yettinahole was one of the biggest dramas ever.

Former District Congress president Ibrahim Kodijaal, corporator Shashidhar Hegde, Harinath and others were present.

These lockdowns, curfews, masks on basis of PCR tests, positive results and number of cases ? Ex Pfizer VP Dr Mike Yeadon says EVERYTHING from the PCR tests to the masks to the idea of “asymptomatic spread” is FRAUDULENT. And Masks make you more likely to catch an unusual bacterial pneumonia Following part of recent interview given by Ex Pfizer VP dated January 10, 2022 at naturalnews ... "In fact, Yeadon is not necessarily convinced that the Fauci Flu even exists as claimed. If by some off chance it is something more than just a nasty seasonal flu, it still is not even close to being as deadly as the media and governments continue to claim it is. “It turns out that it’s not a particularly lethal virus, if it exists,” Yeadon stated during the symposium. “Or it’s about the same as a bad seasonal influenza.” Everything from the PCR tests to the masks to the idea of “asymptomatic spread” is fraudulent, Yeadon warns. PCR tests “don’t tell you anything,” he says, and cloth masks “if anything make you more likely to catch an unusual bacterial pneumonia because you’re breathing through a filthy cloth.”... Mr, Rai , its in the best interests of people that you retire gracefully. These press conferences are irrelevant and nobody understand the requirement of such. Its better for the party to show in their deeds rather than calling 10-15 people and telling them Modi is like this , BJP is like that.

Ramanath look at what nonsense your party is doing. We all blamed the kumbh mela as super spreaders during the 2nd wave which it was but doing padyatras when cases are sky high is foolishness. Your party is risking the lives of 1000's. One of the participants of this yaatra senior congress leader H M Revanna is covid positive..

Tambah was really a lucky politician to be in power when everything in our Mangalore & adjoining districts were peaceful, business were running well. Ni corona, no lockdown. People were happy, also crime rates were very minimal. Nowadays everything has become sajige bajil. Really miss those good old dys when a person could earn if he was ready to work.

They have lots of curse from poor people whose lif is misareable They're not bothered about the public, Poor people. They are worried only Ambani & Adani. They can do whatever they want. Don't just bluff here and bring Modi into every issue of this country. The lock down rules should be applicable to everyone not only to common citizens. Goons like DK brothers are openly challenging Govt. to take actions and BJP leaders are busy in barking on each other and their own ministers also violating rules. So it is useless to comment and fight when politicians are making any statements and allegations. To beat this pandemic, be vigilant and responsive towards others.

Mr. Rai - don't do politics over Covid protocols. These decisions are advised by a committee of doctors and other health experts. Do not mislead public.
