Dec 1: DK reports 13 corona cases, Udupi adds 9 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi,Dec 1: Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, December 1 reported 13 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 0.17%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 22,52,310 samples have been tested so far, out of which 21,36,416 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,15,894 out of which 138 are currently active.

As many as 22 patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 114062.

The death in the district on Wednesday is nil. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,694.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,07,87,170 in fines for 88,943 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 12,70,729 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 9 new cases were reported on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases to 76,894 out of which 63 are currently active.

A total of 4 patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 76,355 for the second wave.
