Mangaluru, Nov 25: In an incident which happened outside the city junction railway station on Thursday November 25, a car which went out of the control of its driver moved on two labourers from other states who were sleeping on the footpath.

The accident would have led to more serious repercussions if 10 to 15 labourers, who normally occupied the footpath here, were present. The labourers had a providential escape.

One of the injured is said to be serious after he suffered head injuries. Four vehicles were damaged in the incident.

As the labourers suffered only minor injuries, they were admitted into a private hospital in the city. City police visited the spot, inspected the scene and noted down the details.
