Mangaluru: Sexual harassment case - Police search residence of absconding lawyer

Mangaluru, Nov 18: The police raided the residence of advocate, K S N Rajesh, who is facing the allegation of sexually harassing a law intern and student of a law college in the city, on Wednesday November 17.

The raid was conducted to undertake a search operation for documents. City (south) assistant commissioner of police, Ranjith, led the operation. The advocate continues to be at large and the police are trying to locate his whereabouts.

It may be recalled, two law interns had filed complaints at the women police station against Rajesh over sexual harassment and threat. It is almost a month and the police have been unable to trace Rajesh.

Further, a lookout notice has now been issued which will help in locating the absconding accused. Police sources suspect Rajesh to be in Andhra Pradesh or Tamil Nadu. Possibilities of the accused escaping abroad are also not ruled out, added the sources.

Listen to your conscience and move forward. Afterall, you should seek first your comfortabilty, peace of mind, your happiness......You should visit your native once in a way.     Absolutely, it looks like that in the pictures. I thought they're even searching him in the cement and sand bags. It looks like a big eye wash game is going on. The lawyer has huge political support and the police are just fooling the public with such searches. May be they'll find him after 17 years and the case will go for another 20 years.

    BD's & immoral police conduct better job in such matters. They have special qualification of sniffing sense and catch the culprit wherever he may hide. Why can't police assign them to assist them ! Of course they should be rewarded. (for night event)

    Better late than never..., shaitan never be come saint... by escaping from law enforcing agencies..., all said and done...if the alleged lawyer choose join/associate one particular political party of choice..., he may be proved innocent & those who filed case may withdraw their cases...,

    I wonder if police is doing a cock and bull story. Its impossible for a lawyer to run away for long in a sexual harrasment case. At the most he wil get bail in 6 months. He wud rather prefer to be sometime in jail and then get back to his family than be on the run for a long time
