Mangaluru: Virtual programme held by YIASCM's Rotaract Club on occasion of I-Day

Mangaluru, Aug 17: The Rotaract Club at Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce & Management (YIASCM) organized a virtual program on the special occasion of the Independence Day.

The entire programme was pre-recorded and premiered on the YouTube platform on August 16.

Principal Dr Parvadhavardhini Gopalakrishnan gave her presidential speech in which she remembered the freedom fighters and the martyrs for their sacrifices towards making this country free from the British and also wished all Indians a Happy Independence Day.

Various programmes like patriotic songs, dances and small skits were performed by the Rotaract members and the faculty members of YIASCM.

The president of the Rotaract Club at YIASCM Rtr Tasmiya Muskan welcomed the gathering and the coordinator Mervin Jaison Vas, proposed the vote of thanks.

More than 550 Viewers including students, faculty members, club coordinators, parents and the Rotary club members were online during the programme. The programme was compered by number of students of the club. The event was concluded with singing the national anthem.
