Mangaluru, Jan 1: “A ship is always safe at the shore but that is not what it is built for”. Keeping in mind the above mentioned momentous thought and the present influence of the pandemic, the school slowly started showing signs of being occupied by the ones prepared.
The Vidyagama programme in a revised format began with classes scheduled on campus on the New Year Day of 2021.It is indeed a known fact that Vidyagama has been an effective tool, with positive feedback from teachers and parents. Shakthi routed this programme in a very unique way. The campus was decorated in a Gurukula manner and the day began with the lighting of the lamp by the administrator, Dr K CNaik and Saraswathi Vandana followed by floral tribute to the trio-Saraswathi, Omkara and Bharath Mata.
Speaking on this occasion the administrator said, "The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but also makes our life in harmony with all existence, guiding to face new challenges and preparing physically and mentally to shoulder responsibilities boldly. Let this New Year bring new hopes, good health, and success and provide mind-set to reach goals to both the students and staff he wished. The New Education Policy will create a new atmosphere for learning in 2021 he opined."
Vidya Kamath, principal of Shakthi Residential School shared her happiness at the sight of the arrival of students that kept longing for ten months. Students were asked to follow the protocols designed by the ministry of education and to report any form of illness immediately.
Students are allowed to come to schools for half a day with parental consent. Following Covid-19 guidelines including wearing a mask, sanitising hands frequently, and being subjected to thermal scanning is mandatory. Any student with fever, cough, cold and other symptoms of Covid-19 will not be allowed. The school is safe she claimed with all etiquettes in place.
Chief advisor Ramesh K, Prakyath Rai, Institute development officer, Sudheer M K principal in-charge, Neema Saxena, co-ordinator, SGK Pre-School, all Staff and many parents were a witness to the gala opening of the school.
