Daijiworld Media Network - Sullia (SP)

Sullia, Dec 19: Asiya of Kerala origin, who claims that she had married Ibrahim Khaleel Kattekar, a native of Sullia, and had stayed with him for a few months at Bengaluru, has been sitting in protest in a footwear shop at Gandhinagar here since sometime. The shop, Kattekar Footwear, belongs to Khaleel, said to be the elder brother of her husband. Asiya blames Khaleel for keeping her husband away from her.

Asiya has been sitting in dharna at Kattekar Footwear since sometime during the day and resting at night in a lodge here. It is said that at around 5 am on Friday, she went to the house of Khaleel Kattekar.

Dakshina Kannada district Muslim Union and Sullia Jamaat had recently convened a meeting to sort out the issue. But Khaleel Kattekar failed to participate. As such the issue has been lingering for long. Asiya is determined to wait for her husband till he returns.

In her social media post, Asiya stated that early morning on Friday, she visited the residence of Khaleel, during which period, quarrel broke out between her and the Kattekar family.

This fight for reunion between husband and wife is quite a complicated issue. This is as good as a forced marriage. The woman should give up and go on her way as she will never be happy with her husband from the way things are going on.

Asiya, pursuing after this man is useless. You have already divorced your earlier husband, for what reason, we do not know. But this, your second husband is not a real man and even if you are united, you will have a very bad future with him. He and his family are only interested in your wealth. Now, your rich family has left you in the lurch after you got converted and your husband knows no more wealth is possible to get from you. He is not interested in you, but your money.

Asiya, do not lose hope, someone will know your worth. God does not create worthless things. What are you expecting from such a spineless man ? He is a gutless, feeble and impotent man. Turn your back to this worthless animal. You now should know, it is time to turn the page.

With all good intentions I hope there won't be kids to suffer this immature behavior of both parents. These type of parenting results in kids going the wrong path. Both here are at wrong the husband should go and file for divorce if he's so determined to get rid of her and the woman should grow up and learn to move on. You cannot force someone to love you when they are not interested. She ultimately took the decision to convert and get married.
