Mangaluru: Distancing wife away from husband by his brother - VHP promises help

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Nov 27: In relation to the allegation of a Hindu girl from Kannur, Kerala, who has alleged that she got converted and married a Muslim man after which the elder brother of her husband has forcibly kept her husband away from meeting her, apart from collecting huge dowry, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has promised help.

Shanthi Joobi was reportedly rechristened as Asiya after her marriage to Ibrahim Khaleel Kattekar. She has been saying that the elder brother of her husband, Shihab, has been keeping her husband away from her.

Under the leadership of Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Sharan Pumpwell, Surekha Raj and Latish Gundia met the lady and expressed solidarity. After holding discussions with her, they instilled a sense of self confidence in her and requested her to come back to Hinduism besides promising all kinds of cooperation.

After that, the team visited Sullia police station and registered a complaint against Shihab, accusing him of concealing the lady's husband elsewhere and also about sexual harassment. Asiya has requested to find out the whereabouts of her husband and to send him with her. The police sought from her records in support of the allegation of sexual harassment.

she is still a muslim... if her marriage is on the rocks, she has to go by the options available to a muslim aggrieved wife... approaching VHP may not help her... it may help VHP in getting mileage...

This woman has already taken the road to a butcher family. My comment is not on religion, I respect the religion, but, comment is on her husband's family.

Bakra khud kasai ke ghar ke samne jaakar kathak karne laga ... toh use kaun bacha sakta hai?
(If the goat itself goes and dances in front of the butcher's house, then who can save him?)

When she took a decision of marrying him she dint concern VHP or news people or anyone. But now when she is into trouble why is he involving them..?Niklena marlg betheklen daayeg involve manpuvar. There is awareness about such things everywhere.even then if she has taken this decision then its her own fight and she has to fight as per the constitution.
Appa amma give soo much unconditional love care and affection and you easily trusted someone who came into life for a year. Then it means you are the biggest culprit.Incha aandane buddi barpini nikleg.

Look at the irony - Appa/Amma gave so much gold and property also. No parents give even a needle in cases of marrying outside preference. Why did they give it then. ??

Moreover, look at the beggars at her husband's side. If they don't want her, why are they keeping the assets ? Bheek maang ker khaa nahi sakhte kyaa ???

..Love is ok, interfaith marriage is ok ..but while spending time on watsup pundi just spend some time to know your & others basic religious marriage rules/laws, Talaq, Polygamy, property succession laws also..Hindu, christian, Muslims have different set of personal laws..after marriage, these laws matters more..Courts wont help, even they declare their own judgements as flawd..in UP, same interfaith marriage case but judgement came different in vice versa case.. Once they say Love is supreme, next judgement they say religion/religious law is supreme. a kerala man (whose mother was Hindu married to a muslim man) lost a property case with his father in SC due religious property rule..be aware of these things, it matters a lot once marriage is over..

How will VHP help the lady ? Uniting her with her husband means she continues to be a Muslim. Pulling her out of it means all that she took as dowry will be lost, her parents will throw her out.

Please VHP, don't complicate the matter. Let the law help her as it's appropriate.

intervention by VHP may put pressure on other party. Hope, she will join her husband soon..
Court says the citizen has a liberty to choose his/her partner. But, why conversion of ones religion is required in interfaith marriage?

Muslim boy cannot marry a Hindu girl unless she converts to Islam, if it has to be solemnized by a qazi. No problem if they marry in marriage registrar's office. But, his marriage can be solemnized by a qazi, if the girl is Christian or Jew, without girl's conversion. This is as per Islamic rule.

A kind of good work by vhp in its own sense..., while LORD Brahma knows the truth..., Statements from the lady must also be obtained independent of the presence self righteous organisation...,

VHP' s presence is also very much required in reported news about minor girl troubled by Swamiji@ b'lore...,

Girl and her parents are compelling him to change his religion and he decided to give up his Christianity. It's mutual understanding I guess.

Ahmed, please go and do some analysis of your own who married with catholic either boy or girls lived a very successful life without interfering in religious struggles. Either Hindus or Catholics couples never stopped to each other in practice of thier own beliefs after marriage. Always there is a freedom within the family and respect towards the family or within. There is no force from either party or obligation to convert . There is no such rule without conversion we will harras you or kill if you dont convert rule. Catholic lived peacefully forgive life style same like Hindus lived very peaceful life. Sometimes we make people to get annoyed for our own stupidity and start blame other which is not good. Hindus are peaceful that is why many in India live good peaceful life.

Rashad that word jihad removed from your mind then you see everything good. Every where we find difficulties in society just because we do things which is not neccessary to do so. Get married with your choice and stop pressing couples to harass and practice own beliefs
