KUWAIT: Unique Competitions Organized by Tulu Koota in Preparation for ‘Tulu Parba’

Kuwait, September 22: In preparation for the upcoming ‘Tulu Parba’, TKK(Tulu Koota Kuwait), under the leadership of A K Ravindra, organized ‘Tulu Parba’ competitions on Monday, September  21, 2009, at the Indian Community School Auditorium, (Senior Girls) Salmiya.

The event of the day started with a prayer song rendered by Rishitha, followed by lighting of the lamp by TKK president, A K Ravindra.  Various competitions such as Muddu Kanda, colouring sketch, drawing, dancing, fancy dress, make up and hair style, coconut grating, men dressing up as women and salad competition for men, were held for all the age groups.  It was a unique opportunity for the Tulu Koota members and their children to showcase their talents.















































Delicious Mangalorean lunch was served to the gathering.  Winners were awarded with the prizes at the end of the event.  The programme was well-compered by Yadunath Alva and Anitha  Sadanand.  General secretary Sathya Narayan proposed vote of thanks.

The annual mega event of TKK - "Tulu Parba 2009", will be on 9th October'2009 at the American International School Auditorium (Dr Kamal Al Rayes Auditorium), Maidan Hawally, Kuwait from 10.30 am to 6.00 pm.

The day-long festivities will comprise of various cultural programmes. The prime events of ‘Tulu Parba’ will be Asia Darshan, fashion show, singing, dances, skits etc.

    Hats-off to Tulu Koota Kuwait President & Committee members for organizing such a unic competition. Really you are doing a good job, promoting Tulu Nadu culture by introducing competition like, Elocution in Tulu for children, coconut grating. Old aged lady also participated in this event. It has proved that, there is no age barrier in competitions. Carry on TKK. All the best wishes for your forthcoming program
