Mumbai, Mar 28: Popular Bollywood actress 'Dream Girl' Hema Malini staged a superb ballet 'Draupadi' at the Shanmukhananda Chandrashekarananda Saraswat auditorium at Sian King circle here on Friday March 27 evening. The ballet on the Ugadi evening was organized for raising funds for the social welfare programmes of Bunts Sangha Mumbai.

Dr B R Shetty, Abu Dhabi-based NRI business tycoon was the chief guest on the occasion while Aikala Harish Shetty, president of Bunts Sangha Mumbai presided over. Manamohan Shetty, working president of Walk Water Media, Sudhakar S Hegde, president of Thunga Group of Hotels, Prakash Shetty, president of Hotel Goldfinch, Mangalore, Soumyalatha S Shetty of Forex Group and organizer Prakash B Bhandari were the guests of honour on the occasion.

Recalling his initial days in the Middle East, Dr B R Shetty said, "You all are fortunate enough to have achieved greater things in the native. I still remember my initial days in the Gulf when I had to struggle to build my future. I came from an economically poor background. Hence I have not forgotten my roots. It is owing to these struggles that I have never taught crave for money and property to my children. Keep your children from excess crave for money. Instead educate them and look after their welfare. They will definitely be the future not only of your family but even of the society. Teach them also to contribute to the society. Mere accumulation of wealth can never give peace of mind. But a generous heart always enjoys prosperity that emanates from peace of mind."

Sudhakar S Hegde and Aikala Harish Shetty too addressed the gathering on the occasion.

Dr B R Shetty and Dr Chandravati B Shetty, Sudhakar S Shetty couple and sponsors and co-sponsors of the programme were felicitated on the occasion.

Bunts Sangha Mumbai office-bearers  Shankar B Shetty, Karnire Vishwanath Shetty, V K Shetty, Prabhakar L Shetty, Mahesh Shetty, Harish Vasu Shetty, Sathish Shetty, Ratnakar Shetty Mundkur, Bhaskar Shetty, Ashok Pakkala, Asha M Hegde and others were also present on the occasion.

Karnire Vishwanath Shetty welcomed the gathering while Polya Lakshminarayana Shetty lead the prayer. V K Shetty proposed vote of thanks. Shankar B Shetty and Ashok Pakkala compered the programme.

    Mr.B.R.Shetty is real flag bearer of India among all the expats, i recall when he donated 1 million dirhams to the quake victims in Pakistan, truly a very noble soul who champions the cause of humanity irrespective of caste, creed, something for the other expats to learn and emulate.

We should understand that money is not happiness even the poor satisfied person is far happier than the super-rich. Well said Dr. B. R. Shetty, you deserve all the applause.
