Mumbai, Jun 13: It may be easy to find second, third or even fourth generation families among the Tuluvas living in the metro, but here's a family that goes well in to its fifth generation.

Meet Jalaja Mundappa Shetty, whose good fortune it has been to see her grand-daughter swing the cradle of her baby grand-daughter Sharanya.

With the birth of Sharanya, daughter of Pradeep Shetty and Shwetha Shetty, the Bailu Hosamane lineage has entered its fifth generation, a phenomenon not commonly seen in migrant families in the metro.

The five generation of women goes like this - baby Sharanya, her mother Shwetha, Hemalatha Sundar Shetty, Pushpa Thimappa Bhandary and Jalaja Mundappa Shetty.

Shwetha Shetty is the daughter of Bola Sundar Shetty, president of Vijayanagar Cooperative Housing Society, Marol Maroshi, Andheri (E).
