Mumbai, May 4:  A Udupi bound passenger from the metro with a valid ticket to travel in a private inter-city bus was assaulted by bus employee, over seat being reported on Saturday May 3 afternoon, from nearby stop of Hotel Arasa, located at Andheri (East).

An elderly Christian woman passenger accompanied by her young son were to attend a wedding ceremony at Katpady in Udupi district who were denied the berth in their rightful bus for which they hold the valid tickets while the eyewitnesses expressed that the bus agent misbehaved with the passengers by pushing them out of the bus before they could sped away.

The bus agent seems to have allotted the seats to other passengers who boarded earlier for premium tickets which was the cause for the entire tussle between the passenger and bus agent.

The local Dakshina Kannada Mumbaikars’ Shankar Poojary, Om Poojary Andheri, Shashiraj Acharya, Harry Sequeira Ferrar, managed to take the passengers to the main bus stop at Sion, in a bid to provide justice to mother and son Udupi bound passengers by lodging the complaint with the police while the bus agent readily reserved them the seat with next Mangalore bound private bus, heeding to their pressure.

The Samaritans not only managed to provide justice to passengers mother and son, emphasizing that no one should hinder anyone’s journey who are on their way to attend auspicious occasions.

It is better (suggested) if the passengers boycott travelling with the particular bus for a week. Then only the owner will realize/take care rest of the thing. I request the daijiworld team to convey the same to the local Dakshina Kannada Mumbaikars’ Shankar Poojary, Om Poojary Andheri, Shashiraj Acharya, Harry Sequeira Ferrar.

These travel agents give the tickets quoting the same seat number. Whoever comes first to board the bus will get the seat and the other will be made to sit on a wooden box. This was the case when my nephew aged 12 years, came alone, from Mumbai to Mangalore some years back. The agents must understand the difficulty they impose on the innocent passengers. Long live our good hearted brothers who helped the mother and son.
