Bhubaneswar: Marathon Kid Budhia's Coach Shot Dead

BHUBANESWAR, Apr 13: The former coach of Budhia Singh, a six-year-old child prodigy dubbed India’s ‘marathon boy’, was shot dead on Sunday evening, police said.

Biranchi Das was shot at several times by unknown assailants near a hall where he used to train students in judo, senior police official Sarat Sahu told reporters

In 2006, Budhia Singh entered the Limca Book of Records after running 65 km in little more than seven hours under the stewardship of Das.

But the coach was accused of using the boy for his own personal gain and had been arrested in August last year on suspicion of torturing Singh.

The police official said an investigation into Das’ killing was under way but could give no further details.

People generally most of the time do good to others. While somebody does good and gets recognition, jealous people can not digest. A coach who has trained Budia, who hit the fame at young age is no more. Now what is the fate of Budhiya ? Let us wait and watch!!!!!!
