New Delhi, Sep 26 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee Friday congratulated Indian medal winners in the ongoing Asian Games, saying they had done the country proud.
The medal winners include Sawarn Singh, Kapil Sharma, Ranjit Singh, Bajrang Lal Takhar, Robin Panachithanathu Ulahannan, Sawan Kumar Kalkal, Mohammad Azad, Maninder Singh, Davinder Singh, Mohammed Ahmed, Shagun Chaudhary, Shreyasi Singh and Varsha Varman.
In individual messages, the president said: “You have done India proud through this achievement and your success is an example of what can be accomplished through hard work and dedication.
"I wish you the very best for all future endeavours,” a Rashtrapati Bhavan statement quoted him as saying.
As of Friday, India has won a total of 16 medals including one gold, two silver and 13 bronze.
