Paes-Stepanek knocked out at Cincinnati


Cincinnati (US), Aug 14 (IANS): Fifth seeded Indo-Czech pair Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek were ousted in the men's doubles second round of the Western and Southern Open here.

Vasek Pospisil of Canada and Jack Sock of the US, who had dumped out India's Rohan Bopanna and his Pakistani partner Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi in the first round, beat Paes and Stepanek 6-1, 4-6, 10-8 in the $4,017,355 hard court event Wednesday night.

Paes and Stepanek had received a bye in the first round.
