Mangaluru, Jun 23: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has continued its investigation into the murder case of right-wing organisation activist Suhas Shetty here.

An NIA team visited the Bajpe police station as part of the ongoing investigation and collected relevant documents related to the case. The officials have also issued notices to certain individuals, directing them to appear for questioning.

The NIA team resumed a detailed investigation after previously collecting case files and information from the Mangaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) officials. The agency has already gathered preliminary details from CCB officers regarding the developments in the case.

During the investigation, the NIA is reportedly examining allegations regarding the involvement of members linked to the banned Popular Front of India (PFI). The agency is also looking into possible foreign funding connections related to the murder.

As part of the probe, NIA officials have examined the bank account details of the accused and are verifying financial transactions.
