Udupi, Apr 8: A profound sense of devotion and cultural vibrancy marked the successful conclusion of the Brahmakalashotsava and re-consecration (Punaha Pratishta) ceremonies of Mukhyaprana Deva and Nagadeva shrine at Indrali, near the revered Sri Panchadurga Parameshwari Temple on April 7.
The multi-day religious event witnessed large participation from devotees, reflecting deep-rooted faith and the spiritual significance of the shrine nestled at the foothills of a forest region.















Delivering his blessings during the formal event on April 7, Sri Vidyaprasanna Teertha Swamiji of Subrahmanya Math highlighted the importance of nature worship in Sanatana Hindu culture. He noted that divine energy is believed to be more powerful in natural surroundings, making temples located amidst nature spiritually significant. The Indrali shrine, situated close to the forest, serves as a vital link between devotees and the divine, he said.
Sri Vidyaprasanna Teertha Swamiji further remarked that the temple has been beautifully renovated with the active cooperation of devotees. Emphasizing the significance of Pranadevaru, he said that the deity represents the life force (breath) and holds a supreme position in spiritual practice. Worship of Pranadevaru helps alleviate the difficulties of devotees and brings divine blessings, he added, expressing hope for the continued development of the temple.
Former minister K Jayaprakash Hegde, speaking on the occasion, said that continuous religious activities foster unity among people and strengthen the social fabric of villages. Temples, he noted, play a crucial role in building cohesive communities.
The programme was presided over by Bhoopathi Shetty, president of the Renovation Committee of Indrali Sri Mukhyaprana Deva and Nagadeva temple.
Vadiraja Kolakkadi delivered a religious discourse. B Jayakar Shetty, president of the temple Brahmakalashotsava Committee, welcomed the gathering. The programme was compered by Sadhana Bhat.
