Karala, Feb 23: The Commerce and Management Association of MPM GFGC Karkala organised orientation programme for II BCom students on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on February 23. It is a part of Skill Enhancement Course (SEC) as proposed under State Education Policy (SEP) for II-year BCom Students by Mangalore Unviersity.

Louis Manoj, coordinator of Commerce Association explained in detail about PBL course and how to go about with it. The idea behind the implementation of this course and the time lines were clearly specified for the students.

Prof Jyothi L J, principal in-charge presided over the event and gave her presidential remarks, Vinay M S, IQAC coordinator of the college spoke about his idea of the new course and its importance. Dr Sudharshan, asscoiate professor compered the event and conducted the Q&A session. Prasanna, HoD of Business Administration & Chandrakanth Shenoy, department of Commerce were present throughout the programme.

The college management and students have thanked principal Prof Suresh Rai K for all the encouragement provided to conduct this programme. Around 130 II BCom students of the college were present for the programme.
