Moodlakatte Nursing College organizes conference on Forensic Nursing

Kundapur, Feb 23: The department of community health nursing of Moodlakatte Institute of Allied Health Sciences organized a regional conference on Forensic Nursing.

The conference commenced with a formal inaugural ceremony. The event was inaugurated by the chief guest, Renjulal Yeshodharan, assistant professor, department of Psychiatric Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, who lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the opening.

In his keynote address, Renjulal Yeshodharan emphasized the crucial role of nurses in medico-legal cases, highlighting the importance of evidence preservation, victim care, and legal responsibilities in clinical practice. He provided valuable insights into the expanding scope of forensic nursing and its practical implications in modern healthcare.

Dr S N Bhat, academic director of I M J Institutions, addressed the gathering and stated that such conferences significantly contribute to the enhancement of knowledge among students and faculty members.

Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, brand building director of the institution, appreciated the academic initiatives undertaken by Moodlakatte Nursing College.

Principal of the Nursing College, Prof Jennifer Freeda Menezes, welcomed the dignitaries and participants.

The programme was attended by vice principal Roopashree K S, faculty members representing various colleges, and students.

The conference served as an excellent platform for discussion, knowledge sharing, professional development, and academic interaction. Final-year BSc nursing students of the college actively contributed to the successful organization of the event.
