Moodlakatte Nursing College celebrates Annual Day with enthusiasm, cultural splendour

Kundapur, Nov 21: The Annual Day of Moodlakatte Nursing College was celebrated with great enthusiasm on November 18. The programme commenced with a prayer, followed by the inauguration by the chief guest, Prakash Shetty, principal, Government PU College (KPS), Koteshwar. In his address, he highlighted the significance of extracurricular activities alongside academics, encouraging students to actively participate in cultural events, sports, and other co-curricular engagements rather than restricting themselves to studies alone.

The event was presided over by Dr S N Bhat, academic director, IMJ Educational Institutions, who lauded the achievements and steady progress of the college. He extended his best wishes to the students and the institution. Principal Prof Jennifer Freeda Menezes, vice principal Roopashree K S, and SNA coordinator Prof Chandrashekhar were also present.

Students who secured distinction and those with remarkable achievements were honoured during the ceremony. Prizes were awarded to winners of various academic, sports, and cultural competitions. A vibrant team-based variety show followed, where students showcased their talents through dance, music, drama, and other creative performances.

The closing ceremony held in the evening was graced by Supreeta Puranik, president, Kannada Janapada Parishad, Kundapur, along with college administrator Parthasarathy, Principal Prof Jennifer Freeda Menezes, and other dignitaries. Cash prizes were distributed to the winning teams.

Prof Rupashree K S welcomed the gathering, while Prof Chandrashekar delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was efficiently compered by Prof Jyoti Nayak.
