Bantwal, Nov 20: A complaint was filed by Namitha, who worked as a saleswoman at Somayaji Tex Textiles, owned by Krishnakumar Somayaji at B C Road. According to the complaint, on November 19, at around 7 pm, the complainant and shop owner Krishnakumar Somayaji were present in the shop when a woman wearing a burqa, posing as a customer, entered the premises and attacked Krishnakumar with a knife.

As Krishnakumar tried to flee, the complainant rushed him to a local hospital in an auto-rickshaw, where he was given initial treatment. He was later shifted to the intensive care unit of AJ Hospital in Mangaluru, where he is currently under treatment and out of danger.

The attacker was identified as Jyothi K T, wife of Krishnakumar. The complaint stated that Jyothi had previously visited the shop and issued life threats. It was further mentioned that the couple had ongoing family disputes, and due to this grudge, Jyothi allegedly attempted to kill Krishnakumar with the knife.

Based on the complaint, Bantwal City police registered a case under Crime No. 131/2025, Sections 118(1), 118(2), 351(3), 109 of BNS-2023, and Sections 2(1)(C), 27 of the Indian Arms Act-1959. Investigation is underway.

My God very bad.If they are having marital problems should clear it at home .But not in shop by injuring him .Or simply go out of the house to get your mind clear.Go to psychological therapy .You tried to murder him .Are you now satisfied?Today or tomorrow you will be caught and put inside jail-Do you have children? If so they are the sufferers.By trying to injure ,your problems are not solved. What a shame .You yourself have made it more problems.Hope now atleast you got your mind clear.
