Mangaluru, Nov 18: Seven years after he vanished without a trace, the search for Devaraj Poojary (49) of Ganadakottaya in Pavoor village remains unresolved, with police renewing their appeal for public assistance.

Devaraj left home for work on May 27, 2018 and never returned. Despite a missing person’s case being registered at Konaje police station and repeated enquiries over the years, officials say there has been “no breakthrough” in locating him.

According to police, Devaraj is around 5.7 feet tall, of wheatish complexion, and medium build, and is fluent in Kannada and Tulu. Officers said they hope renewed public attention may help bring fresh leads.

“Anyone with information about this individual is urged to contact Konaje police station immediately,” police stated in their appeal.

Authorities continue to maintain that even the smallest clue could help piece together the events surrounding Devaraj’s disappearance.
