Mumbai, Nov 10: Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam-starrer Haq continues to show a steady run at the box office. Directed by Suparn S Varma, the courtroom drama collected Rs 3.75 cr on Sunday (Day 3), taking its total earnings to Rs 8.85 cr, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

The film opened with Rs 1.75 cr on Day 1 and collected Rs 3.35 cr on Day 2, showing a positive growth trend as it inches closer to the Rs 10 cr mark.

Inspired by the real-life Shah Bano case of 1985, Haq stars Emraan Hashmi as Mohd Ahmed Khan and Yami Gautam as Shah Bano Begum. The story revisits the landmark legal battle of a 62-year-old woman’s fight for alimony, which ultimately sparked nationwide debates on secularism, women’s rights, and the Uniform Civil Code.

Produced by Junglee Pictures, Insomnia Films, and Baweja Studios, the film also features Vartika Singh, Danish Husain, Sheeba Chadha, and Aseem Hattangady in pivotal roles.
