Ravi Teja’s Irumudi crosses Rs 30 crore in two days

Hyderabad, Aug 23: Telugu star Ravi Teja’s latest release Irumudi has made a strong start at the Indian box office, crossing the Rs 30-crore mark within two days of its release.

Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film hit theatres on August 21 and has drawn audiences with its emotional storyline and Ravi Teja’s performance. Despite competition from other releases, Irumudi has maintained a steady run at the box office.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film opened with a net collection of Rs 15.30 crore in India on its first day. On Saturday, August 22, it recorded a slight increase, collecting Rs 16.10 crore from 2,943 shows.

With this, the film’s two-day domestic net collection has reached Rs 31.40 crore.

The film recorded its highest Telugu occupancy of 78.54 per cent on Day 2. The strongest response came during the night shows, which registered 88.31 per cent occupancy, followed by 82.85 per cent in the evening, 80 per cent in the afternoon and 63 per cent in the morning.

Irumudi has also performed well in overseas markets. Its worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 47.45 crore, including around Rs 11 crore from international markets.

The film has received positive reactions from audiences, with several viewers praising Ravi Teja’s performance and the emotional elements of the family drama.

Apart from Ravi Teja, Irumudi features Priya Bhavani Shankar, Swasika Vijay, Saikumar Pudipeddi and Ajay Ghosh in key roles.

The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the banners of Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar and T-Series Films. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music, while Prawin Pudi handled the editing and Vishnu Sarma served as the cinematographer.

On the work front, Ravi Teja was last seen in Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi (BMW), which released during Sankranti on January 13. The film later premiered on ZEE5 on March 13, 2026. Directed by Thirumala Kishore, it also starred Edin Rose and Ashika Ranganath.

Before BMW, Ravi Teja appeared in Mass Jathara in 2025 and Mr Bachchan in 2024.
