Mangaluru, Oct 19: Two persons sustained minor injuries after lightning struck a house at Madhava Nagar in the central ward of Surathkal on Saturday night during a thunderstorm accompanied by rain.
The injured have been identified as Lavanya (19) and Soujanya (16).
At the time of the incident, five family members were inside the house. Lavanya and Soujanya sustained minor injuries and were admitted to a private hospital in Mukka for treatment.
The lightning strike also caused damage to the house’s wall and floor, sources said.
