Mangaluru, Oct 14: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organized a webinar on the topic 'From first impression to final selection: Grooming and behaviour for airline careers' on October 11. The session was conducted for students of BBA aviation management, BBA aviation and logistics management, BBA aviation, travel and tourism management, and MBA aviation management programmes.
The session was led by Ansha Rampal, service and grooming instructor at Air India, who delivered an enlightening and interactive talk focusing on the professional standards and personal attributes required for a successful career in the aviation industry.




The event was organized under the guidance of Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Anjana T V, head of the department, Varshitha, guest lecture coordinator, and with the support and coordination of other faculty members and staff.
Ansha Rampal highlighted the critical role of grooming, behaviour, communication skills, and confidence in creating a strong first impression during airline interviews and professional interactions. She elaborated on how maintaining proper etiquette, a positive attitude, and a polished presentation can significantly impact career growth in the aviation sector.
The session also offered practical guidance on personal presentation, body language, and customer service behaviour, all of which are essential for aspiring aviation professionals. Through her practical experiences and industry expertise, Ansha Rampal encouraged students to cultivate the discipline, focus, and mindset essential for succeeding in the competitive airline sector.
