Mangaluru, Oct 11: As part of the "Season of Creation 2025" observed universally from September 1 to October 4, the students of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru, were engaged in a number of meaningful activities to celebrate God's creation and take measures to protect the Common Home, the Earth.
The LKG students enthusiastically unveiled the peace logo, marked by lively performances symbolizing nature’s beauty. The nursery section participated in the Season of Creation 2025 by taking a nature walk reflecting the theme “Peace with Creation”.
The UKG students created a hanging garden using recycled plastic bottles, promoting sustainability and teamwork. Students from grade I enjoyed the “Butterfly Buzz” activity, with butterfly face painting, watching real butterflies, and creating colourful collages.
Grade II students engaged in leaf art, using leaves to make animals, flowers, and designs. The students of grade III participated in a stone painting activity, creatively depicting nature and living creatures. Grade IV children made bird feeders using eco-friendly materials, learning about compassion and responsibility towards nature.
The students of grade V participated in a poster-making activity focused on wildlife care. The posters highlighted the importance of caring for wildlife, preventing pollution, and safeguarding god’s creation.
























































The science club members of grade VI–VIII made seed bombs to promote greenery, while grade IX–X explored hydroponics and herbal soap making, emphasizing sustainable living.
The members of Mathematics Club designed nature mandalas using leaves, flowers, and stones to reflect balance and beauty in creation. The eco club of grade VI prepared collages on environmental heroes, while VII–VIII created e-waste posters and IX–X performed a street play on responsible waste management.
The Young Global Citizens Club held a session on human–wildlife conflict by conservationist Bhuvan, focusing on coexistence and community responsibility. The Literary Club members developed eco comic strips with themes like “Plastic Monster” and “The Talking Tree”, creatively spreading environmental awareness. '
The Heritage Club showcased endangered elegance with costumes of endangered species, and the fine arts club of VII–X painted under “Brushstrokes for a Greener Tomorrow”. The Health and Wellness Club hosted a session on Ayurveda by Dr Keshavraj, promoting natural healing and harmony with nature. The theatre club members of grade VII–VIII presented multilingual poetry recitation – Peace with creation, while IX–X recited poems on the environment and balance with nature.
The Philately Club members of grade VI–VIII designed green stamps celebrating the beauty of creation, and the ATL club of VIII–X displayed biodegradable product innovations. Grade XI and XII prepared organic mosquito repellents using natural ingredients, promoting safe and eco-friendly solutions.
The Carmel blossoms visited Maxim Rodrigues’ organic farm, learning sustainable farming practices. The NCC, scouts and guides led a cleanliness drive to the nearby Helipad and created rangolis with natural materials. Through these activities, the students celebrated creation, practiced sustainability, and pledged to be true guardians of our common home.
As the school concluded the "Season of Creation 2025", the management and staff rejoiced in the creativity, enthusiasm, and care the students have shown for god’s creation. From art and science to poetry, theatre and hands-on activities, every effort reflected a deep respect for nature and a commitment to sustainability. With hearts inspired and minds enlightened, the staff and studentscarry forward the message of peace, harmony, and responsibility towards our common home, ready to make every day a celebration of creation.
