Initial reports stated that Rakshita was killed on the spot. However, police later clarified that she was stabbed for allegedly refusing Karthik’s marriage proposal. She sustained serious injuries and is currently in critical condition, undergoing treatment at KMC Hospital, Manipal.

It is reported that the incident is linked to a love affair, as the victim’s family had objected to her marriage. There are very few people who get to marry their first love. But they will never forget each other. They move on with their lives. If they come across each other later in life, they celebrate each others successes but there in corner of the heart there is space for them and a connect forever. But one' s heart is large there will always be space for someone else to move in and occupy it. What this young man had was not love but ego, dominance and control. He should be jailed for long time. May Rakshita soul rest in peace after that.

Forget punishment; both are dead and gone; if their relationship was not forcibly ended, two innocent lives would have been saved, & some amicable solution would have been possible!

RIP!! 😞 The parents of the victim should have considered the sensitivity of the situation & taken a very practical decision, by trying to counsel both of them & resolving it in an amicable manner instead of bluntly asking the accused to cut off the relationship; they being majors, should have been allowed to get married and lead their own lives; today, two families, lost precious young lives by the impractical and rash decision of their parents! BTW; similar types of fatal tragedies are occurring throughout the country at regular intervals; this itself should set the alarm bells ringing to parents of young children about the fragility in dealing with such love affairs!

How can a person claim to love a girl and then stab her simply because she refused to marry him? True love never kills, it protects. If he really loved her, he would have respected her decision. Taking her life is nothing but cruelty and obsession, not love.

Two valuable lives have come to a tragic end. He should never have killed Rakshitha. Whatever the situation, no one has the right to take another’s life. Such acts of violence are unacceptable.

This is called blind puppy love. When harmones are raging youngsters blindly fall in love without thinking of future consequences and parents approvals. End result is two young lives wasted.

The dialogue involving Anjali from the movie Dhadkan : "Anjali, main tumhein bhool jaaun, yeh ho nahin sakta... aur tum mujhe bhool jao, yeh main hone nahin doonga!". From time memorial lot's of similar incidents have taken place due to love failure/love rejections.

Sad she died .What he has now from his action? Will be charged and has to go to jail. Was it he wanted? One you love will not injure. Here it is quite opposite.Other side girl was with him in love, parents opposed ,so she too said no,was also not fair.He must have felt also hurt.Girl could ask parents if she wanted to marry him make them satisfy?May her soul rest in peace.Anyway killing her was not all good.He could wait and see how it develops.Heartfelt sympathies to her family. He could nt accept a no?

She had a valid reason because of her parents objection about Dikshita's relationship with Karthik but what action he took is unthinkable ! “It’s impossible to get the relationship you need, from someone who’s not ready to give it to you.” R.I.P.
