Karnataka Legislative Council welcomes four newly nominated members at oath ceremony

Bengaluru, Sept 11: At a formal ceremony held in the Banquet Hall of Vidhana Soudha, four newly nominated members of the Karnataka Legislative Council were sworn in on Thursday.

The members who took the oath of office were Dr Arathi Krishna, Ramesh Babu, F H Jakkappanavar, and Shivakumar K.

The oath was administered by the chairman of the Legislative Council, Basavaraj Horatti.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by several key dignitaries, including chief minister Siddaramaiah, deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar, home minister Dr G Parameshwara, law minister H K Patil, animal husbandry minister Venkatesh, minor irrigation and science & technology minister N S Boseraju, and housing minister Zameer Ahmad Khan, among others.

The event marked the official induction of the nominated members into the upper house of the Karnataka Legislature, with leaders from across the state government in attendance.
