Bareilly, Aug 2: In a shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly, a man was rescued from a jungle with broken limbs after surviving a brutal murder attempt allegedly orchestrated by his wife and her brothers.
The victim, Rajiv, a doctor's assistant at Navodaya Hospital, was attacked on the night of July 21 by 11 people, including goons reportedly hired by his in-laws. His hands and legs were fractured, and he was taken to a forest in the CB Ganj area where the attackers had planned to bury him alive.

However, just before the plan could be executed, a passerby arrived at the scene, forcing the accused to flee. The injured Rajiv, left in excruciating pain and unable to cry for help, was noticed by the stranger who immediately called an ambulance. He was rushed to a private hospital and is currently under treatment.
The case, registered at Izzatnagar police station, names Rajiv’s wife Sadhana and her five brothers, including Bhagwan Das, Premraj, Harish, and Laxman, as the main conspirators. Rajiv’s father Netram filed the complaint, alleging the family had plotted his son’s murder.
Rajiv married Sadhana in 2009 and the couple has two sons, Yash (14) and Luv (8), who study in a private school. Though the family owned a house in their village, they had moved to the city reportedly at Sadhana’s insistence.
