Mangaluru, Aug 16: Combat athletes from Zeus Fitness, Mangaluru, delivered an impressive performance at the PKD National Submission Grappling Championship held in Mysuru, winning two gold and five silver medals.
A 13-member team comprising nine male and four female athletes represented Zeus Fitness at the national-level championship. Competing against talented grapplers from across the country, the athletes displayed confidence, discipline and determination throughout the event.
Training under coaches Ashish Kumar and Chirag CHK, the Mangaluru contingent produced several strong performances across different weight and age categories.





Sree Sampadha was among the standout performers, winning two medals. She clinched gold in the women's above-55 kg category with a dominant performance and also secured silver in the Champions category.
Ravikiran Francis won his first-ever gold medal in the under-83 kg category. He displayed excellent control and technical dominance throughout his bouts to emerge victorious.
Ebin Philips secured silver in the under-55 kg category, showcasing strong technique and composure against his opponents.
Kanishk Gatty won a silver medal in the under-18 category after an impressive performance marked by strength, confidence and effective grappling techniques.
Adishree also secured silver in the under-18 female category, delivering an aggressive and energetic performance while demonstrating excellent technical skills and control over her opponents.
Anora Nazerath won silver in the under-16 female category, putting up an impressive technical performance and displaying strong grappling skills throughout her bouts.
The achievements of the Zeus athletes were hailed as a reflection of their hard work and the guidance provided by their coaches.
