New Delhi, Aug 17: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to announce the new organisational team of national president Nitin Nabin on Monday, sources said, as the party prepares for the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur.
Sources said the BJP is expected to maintain a balance between experienced leaders and new faces in Nabin’s team. Around 33 per cent of the 38 organisational posts are likely to be allocated to women, with 13 positions expected to go to women leaders.
The new team is also likely to have significant representation from younger leaders, particularly in the wake of student protests over examination irregularities. Party leaders believe greater youth representation could help the BJP strengthen its outreach to Gen Z voters.

Former Union minister Smriti Irani and Maharashtra leader Navneet Rana are among the names being discussed for inclusion in the team. Former Union minister Anurag Thakur is also speculated to make a comeback.
Other leaders, including Vinod Tawde, Sanjay Bhatia and Sunil Bansal, could also find a place in the new team.
The organisational revamp assumes significance as the BJP prepares for the next round of Assembly elections and eventually the 2029 Lok Sabha polls. Nabin took charge as the party’s national president on January 20, but his team is yet to be finalised.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior BJP leaders have held several rounds of discussions over the composition of the team. The party may announce the new team on Monday or later this week.
